Stuck for inspiration in writing a book on sixteenth-century Spain, a writer spends all his time telling stories to the depths of his library. Here arises in this life by proxy a funny hacker by the name of Sancho Panza (we discover at the end of the book is like a cat).

Soon other strange figures are emerging to encourage master Bourlès to grab his stick walker as well as his books to go in search of the creator of this little world, Miguel de Cervantes. At the end of a journey fraught with twists and turns, our narrator has depicted it so magnificently that Spain embodied by the Ingenious Hidalgo Don Quixote de la Mancha.
