"A Soulf for Europe Conference 2017" took place in Berlin on the 10th-11th November.
The Conference explored the constitutive role of citizens and urban communities in Europe and the need to connect citizens to other levels of responsibility: "Who is assuming responsibility for Europe? How citizens, cities and parliaments have to cooperate for the future of Europe".
The Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe and the European Routes of Emperor Charles V were illustrated at the photos exhibition, organised within the framework of the event to shed the light on projects which exemplary connects citizens in Europe and boost citizens and communities to take responsibility, in order for European development and unification process to succeed. Miguel Angel Martin Ramos, secretary of the European Routes of Emperor Charles V, participated in the event.
The Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe, as grassroot associations, based on the commitment and joint initiatives of citizens in different countries in Europe showcase, implementing a bottom-up approach, the crucial role of citizens as cause and goal of transnational cooperation in Europe.
